Grim Tales – creativity raising awareness of domestic violence
The Grim Tales art and story book is the creative result of Tauranga Women’s Refuge and The Incubator combining their genius to raise awareness of domestic violence.
Combining the talents of local artists and writers to convey the meaning of real women’s stories in fairy tales, this project is collaboration at its best.
As one of the authors involved, I was privileged to meet and speak to Anna Crusis about her experiences and write her tale. Our story was then illustrated by James Stanbridge, a talented local artist and photographer.
