Went to an amazing poetry show at the Herald Theatre in Auckland recently. Performed by Carrie Rudzinski and Olivia Hall, two incredible poets/writers: Hysterical.

Feminist, personal and ferociously soul-bearing, the poems were so moving and sometimes outrageously funny. Revealing their vulnerabilities, being completely raw and open on stage, talking to the audience, joking around and brandishing word-weapons like warrior queens, these are two brave women. Absolutely loved it.

Take a look at the website or start here and get lost in a youtube spiral because its totally worth it.

PS: The reason I bought tickets was that I read about Carrie in Mohamed Hassan’s book the week before. Strange how one thing leads to another.
