The Warrior Queen Team – Grim Tales for Women’s Refuge Tauranga

Some beautiful images from the Grim Tales coffee table book, created by artists, writers and storytellers in collaboration, for Tauranga Women’s Refuge. Concept and project management by The Incubator ( headed by Simone  Anderson and Womens Refuge and edited by Chad Dick. There were so many people involved in making this book a reality, you’ll just have to purchase it to read the bios in the back, and the stories themselves, of course. Grim Tales front cover

The three lovelies you see above, are the Warrior Queen team, as I call them. We’re at the book launch, a beautiful and elaborate Masquerade ball organised by The Incubator team. James Stanbridge, Whakatane based artist and photographer, Anna Cruisus (our storyteller) and myself, the writer. What a privilege and honour it was to try to tell Anna’s story as a Gr20160220_121018im fairytale. Huge thanks to everyone involved in creating and promoting this wonderful project.
